
Katrina Kaye is an educator, writer, publisher, artist and community organizer whose work delves into themes of identity, memory, and human connection. Known for vivid imagery and emotional depth, her poetry blends traditional and experimental forms to explore personal and universal experiences.
A lifelong creator, she is published in various ezines, magazines, and anthologies. She is the author of two poetry chapbook collections (Maverick Duck Press; Shadow Poetry), two out of print collections (Casa de Snapdragon), and three books through Swimming with Elephants Publications, LLC under her maiden name: Katrina K Guarascio. Her most recent chapbook publication, “No Longer Water” is currently available through Echobird Press.
She also spent time on the performance stage, touring across the United States and participating in various poetry festivals and events, before hanging up her microphone in 2015.
A former public school and community college English teacher, Katrina is passionate about encouraging others to find self-expression in the written word. She facilitates various writing workshops, poetry workshops, and therapeutic writing workshops to help others find, strengthen, and refine their voice. Currently, she runs a free and open writing group in Albuquerque, NM called Spill the Ink.
Katrina lives gratefully and happily in New Mexico with the love of her life. She continues to write, perform, and publish her own writing on a regular basis.
